 1.40 – 2.30 pm   Workshops (Once registered, please choose your workshop using this form) 

1. New ways of working: with new requirements and frameworks we're all needing to look at how our governing body works and how we find and retain appropriate governors. Carol Ladbrook (Governor Services) and Geoff Sheath (Chair of Middle Park (Outstanding), on the AGG committee and new editor of Voice)

2. Performance management: the new Ofsted inspections are asking governors how we monitor the performance management in our schools - not just the Head but the rest of the staff (Tom Lawrence Assistant Headteacher at Woolwich Poly (Outstanding and the first Secondary School in the country to attain the Exceptional Schools Award) and Linda Callaghan (Governor Services)

3. Ofsted: the new Ofsted inspections pose new challenges for us and our schools. This is the place to discuss them. Tim Feast (Ofsted inspector) and Ann Jefferson, Chair of Rachel Macmillan (Outstanding Ofsted this term) and Greenslade Primary, and governor at Cherry Orchard and Secretary of the AGG.

4. Using data: from checking to see if any groups of children are disadvantaged  to monitoring progress year by year to justifying our use of pupil premium our ability to use data has never been more important. Jo Marchant, Headteacher of Windrush Primary (Outstanding) and Tim Warner, Chair of Thomas Tallis.
